All individuals intending to visit Brazil, whether for tourism, business, studies, visits, medical treatment, etc., must apply for and obtain one of the following permits or visas:

Brazil eVisa

The Brazil eVisa is designed for those who wish to visit Brazil for tourism transit, sports, artistic events, or if intending to attend conferences, seminars, or meetings. This visa allows stays of up to 90 days, extendable for the same period, provided it does not exceed 180 days within a 12-month period from the first entry into the country. The application process can be initiated online, with processing times varying depending on the consulate.

With this visa, you can:

  • Stay in Brazil for up to 90 days, extendable for another 90 days.
  • Visit family or friends, enjoy holidays, or participate in cultural, academic, or sports events.
  • Conduct business activities such as making inquiries, negotiating contracts, or attending conferences.

However, you cannot:

  • Engage in any paid employment within Brazil.
  • Provide services to a Brazilian organization or sell goods and services directly to the public without the appropriate visa.
  • Extend your stay beyond the authorized period without proper registration.

To be eligible for this visa, you must:

  • Meet health and character requirements.
  • Prove financial sufficiency for the duration of your stay.
  • Intend to leave Brazil upon the expiration of your authorized stay.
  • Not have any outstanding debts with the Brazilian government.
